Florida workout

Classico Z made the trip to Ocala, Fl very well. He is stabled at Debby Adams' facility 10 minutes from HITS. He is now full clipped and has gotten his mane pulled. He looks ready to show! He has his first jumping shooling a few days ago and was VERY happy to be getting back to his favorite thing. His spectaular form is still there, he was clearing the grids by a foot or two. Today he did Flat work and I am attaching a picture from the session. His stride is really improving length wise, especially at the trot. He also did some counter canter and shoulders-in.
We are really greatful to have such wonderful sponsors to help this horse reach his full potential which we feel will be great!!!

Florida count down

Here are two links to horses that are related to Classico Z. They are cousins I believe.

Belgian Warmblood?

Classico Z is hard at work getting back into shape and ready for his trip to Florida in a few weeks. In the middle of this winter cold snap I was taking a look at his father's bloodlines. It turns out that he is very closely related to a lot of olympic show jumpers. That must be where the springs in his feet come from. While I was looking around I noticed that any foal by his father can be registered Belgian Warmblood. So Classico Z is a Holsteiner, an American Warmblood and a Belgian Warmblood. Of course registration really just makes a horse look good on paper, it is what they do in the ring that counts. Luckily, he has enough talent to go around!!
