FL Horse Park Trot
Today Classico Z went with a few other Warrington Eventing horses to the FL Horse Park for a trot through the country side. "Stinky" was extremely happy to be out in the open and he even got to gallop a bit at the end. I rode another horse behind him and the faster he goes the less he touches the ground. In his biggest gallop of the day he must have been jumping 2 ft in the air! Despite all of the "up" in his stride, he really can cover some ground! The ride today was just what he needed after a few weeks of limited time outside. He will be working in the ring tomorrow.

Do you expect his gallop to level out into a more efficient stride as he gains experience?
ReplyDeleteHe has a lot of up to his stride but he levels out on cross country courses already. He loves his job so he is very enthusiastic about every aspect (thus the extra movement). The good part is that he is very uphill so he will be easy to bring back before fences! Thanks for the question.
ReplyDeleteOh, excellent! It's always easier when they get off the forehand on their own.
